The pouch is made of fine red leather with gold embossed fleur-de-lys (which are rubbed); it has a functioning brass zip and what appears to be a cream silk lining, although this is marked due to wear. It has an interior leather strap with functioning brass stud marked NEWEY PAT 201430-22 (which may help to date the piece)
