Philip. He was born in 1905 and joined the Royal Marines in 1923. He served on various ships during the 1920s and 1930s including “Queen Elizabeth”, “Revenge” and “London”. He qualified as an Anti-Aircraft gunner in 1927. He was awarded his LS&GC in 1938. At the start of World War 2, he was based in Malta (St Angelo) and returned to the UK in January 1940. He was assigned to the Mobile Naval Base Defence Organisation (MNBDO) until December 1943 and then to the RM Training Group (RMTG). He was invalided from the service in June 1944 with a duodenal ulcer. He was probably entitled to a 1939-45 star, Defence and War Medals. He died in 1960.
