Edward. According to the WW2 Medal Cards (available on fold3), he served in World War 2 and applied for his medals in 1950 -- he was apparently entitled to the 1939-45 star, Defence Medal and War Medal. At the time, he was living in St Loys Road, Tottenham.
After World War 2, the Middlesex Regiment retained two territorial battalions, 7th and 8th. In 1961, these were amalgamated into a single battalion, the 5th. The Middlesex Regiment disappeared in the Army reorganisation of 1966.
