John. In World War 1, he served in Egypt from 31-3-15 and may have been deployed to Gallipoli. At some point he transferred to the Western Front and was killed in action on 9-10-17 with 460th Battery, 15th Brigade (this was a Royal Horse Artillery Brigade to which 460th battery provided a howitzer component). He was born in Shankhill, Co. Antrim and enlisted in Belfast. He is buried in Ruisseau Farm Cemetery, Langemarck (name incorrectly recorded as "Connor").
