George Rex. He was born in 1889 in Knysna, South Africa and was a farmer by occupation. He served in German South West Africa with the 4th Dismounted Rifles from 27-10-14 (so entitled to 1914-15 star). He appears to have trained in South Africa as he is shown as "Fit as Pilot" in December 1917 at Port Elizabeth. He served briefly in No 2 Squadron before being transferred to the Armament School. He was placed on the Unemployed List in 1919 and returned to South Africa. He died in 1962.
