Joseph. He served in France from 20-9-14 and was renumbered 285091. He was killed in action on 20th May 1917 during a heavy German bombardment of the lines at Gillemont Farm, Épery and is buried in Templeux-le-Guerard British Cemetery. Ian Fleming’s father, Major Valentine Fleming also died during the shelling along with another 4 members of the regiment.
